Happy Columbus Day!
If you live north of the border, you were spending today celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving. However, if you were hanging in the USA, you were celebrating Columbus Day. The Digitante ended up having the day off work, so I spent some time doing not-so-gadgety things:
- We have a hole in the roof of our garage. We also have a deck on the roof of our garage. That means I had to pull up all the decking boards on the garage roof so the roofing company can figure out what is wrong and how to fix it.
- We have a funny smell coming from our crawlspace. I determined 1) it is not a dead animal, 2) it isn’t moldy or water filled, and 3) a homeless man has not moved in under our house. I did find out that when the house was built, the sewage pipe was not sealed tight when it exited our crawlspace, so I put some sealing foam around it. Problem solved. I thought. Turns out there are spaces which connect our crawlspace to our neighbor’s and they most likely have the poor sewage pipe connection that we had, so the new smell is probably coming over from their crawlspace. I was busy foaming the holes between to fix this problem. I am not done yet.
- We haven’t been shopping at Costco in over a month, so we needed some food stuffs and some gas. Turns out gas was $.30 cheaper at Costco, so that almost paid for the trip on it’s own.
I’ll be back to regular posting tomorrow night, so look for that. If you have any topics that you want to see covered on The Digitante, never hesitate to make requests.
